Poetry in Motion

Typography has often, and rightfully, been described as the look of tone of voice. For years, typographers, typesetters and typeface designers have quietly worked towards refining and elevating the art and science of typography. Good typography, they say, isn’t one that makes your text look better, ornate or fanciful but one that says what needs to be said in the right voice and then gets out of the way.

With the advent of the the Pixel era, tyopography has witnessed leaps in creative design like none other. Instead of picking letters from a fixed set of typefaces and manually adjusting the tracking, kerning and leading, a simple drop down menu opens up not just a list of typefaces, but a worlds of creative inspirations and the tools for expressing them.

By incorporating motion into typography, artists are now able to create what’s being called Kinetic Typography, a hybrid of text and animation that heightens the visual narrative process. You probably have seen these already all over. We’ve handpicked a few that we absolutely loved. Take a look at these stunning examples of poetry in motion.
